About Therapy

Pop culture can make us feel like therapy is a problem-solver or “fix” where you show up, spill your guts, cry your eyes out and then everything is fine. That might be true for a few people, but for most therapy is different just like we all are. Therapy is a small journey you’ll take for a limited time where you’ll get to the bottom of some issues that get in your way and learn to deal with them independently. My goal for you is that you’ll leave therapy a better person, more well-equipped to deal with life in a healthy way.

Get in touch.

You can e-mail anytime to find out if there is a spot that works for you, just click the e-mail button at the top or bottom of this page. Vincent is also able to provide consulting services to anyone out of state, at a cash rate, utilizing virtual meetings. In the near future Vincent will offer trainings for a fee for organizations providing clinical mental health or social services.

Specialties:

Vincent specializes in a few things. Men’s issues, relationship problems or difficulties, social issues, self-esteem and confidence, anxiety-depression-mood-motivation. Also, adults with a new ASD or ADHD diagnosis - people in middle age who’ve recently discovered they’ve had Autism or ADHD all along and are struggling with adapting now that they know.

Specializing in men's issues means Vincent is interested in getting more men into therapy. Read on to find out more about this specialty area.

What is Men’s Issues?

Men's issues (not just straight men) includes being a single man navigating the dating world, relationship problems, new to fatherhood, parenting as a dad, dealing with conflict, struggles with masculinity, machismo, and the pressure of traditional ideals regarding men's roles in the family (see the “about” section).

Vincent also specializes in treating all forms of anxiety including stress, fear, social, excessive worrying, and life changes.

Please see ‘about’, ‘payment’, and ‘policies’ pages to learn more about how treatment might proceed, what types of therapy Vincent provides, insurance and payment methods and whether he’s the right therapist for you.

Some main focuses of Vincent’s therapeutic approach: to break old habits, challenge old ideas to gain new perspective. To create new healthy habits and teach new skills. You’ll talk a lot about becoming flexible, managing expectations, communicating more effectively, taking care of yourself, and feeling comfortable with being vulnerable (the most difficult thing ever). These are all key to making changes in your life.

Potential clients (that’s you) are encouraged to view the ‘policies’ page for a brief explanation of practice and privacy policies, specialties, and insurance & payment information.

I also offer private practice coaching and guidance for therapists who’d like to move into private, such as marketing, office setup, communications, forms, documentation, insurance, and payments.

It can take a long time to feel comfortable contacting a therapist. Take your time and think about what you’d like to work on in therapy. Talk to friends who have been to therapy, if you find that helpful. You can e-mail me if you have any questions but aren’t sure if therapy is right for you at this time.
